Australian Police, Golden Oldies Rugby Program
Whether you, or a family member, has served in the Army, Navy or Air Force on operational deployment or during peace time, or you a member of the Australian Federal Police who has served on peacekeeping missions, we are here for you. Our main objective is to enhance and maintain your quality of life during your transition from military to civilian life and help you overcome the difficulties you are facing.
The Club’s first association with the Good Friday Appeal was in 1948. The Good Friday Appeal holds a special place in the heart of every Uncle Bob.
The last Officers’ Cadet School parade (6 December 1984) on the WRAAC School parade ground saw the Officer Cadets and the WRAAC Contingent marching to the strains of “Soldiers of the Queen”. Prior to the formal closing of the gates the WRAAC School flag was ceremoniously lowered and slow marched “off”, to be folded and handed over to the Chief Instructor of the WRAAC School for safe keeping.
Infantry Combat Tracking Teams, Engineer Mine Dog Teams, Engineer Explosive Detection Dog Teams, Army Military Police, RAAF Military Working Dog Teams & Special Operations Command Teams have served in numerous overseas conflicts & the pictures and stories reflect their overall history within the Australian Defence Force.
